Désormais, Drake veut assumer son rôle de père

À la fin du mois de mars, Drake a partagé quelques touchants clichés de son fils, Adonis. Après avoir longuement caché sa paternité, il explique, lors d’un podcast avec Lil Wayne, être désormais libéré d’un poids.

Vendredi dernier, Drake a ravi le public avec une mixtape surprise intitulée Dark Lane Demo Tapes. Évoquant, notamment, ce projet au cours d’un podcast avec son ami Lil Wane, Drake s’est également confié sur sa paternité, un statut qu’il a longuement nié. À la fin du mois de mars, l’interprète de « Toosie Slide » a révélé quelques clichés de son fils, Adonis, sur Instagram. «C’était génial de partager cela avec le monde entier», a-t-il déclaré.

«Je n’ai même pas parlé à qui que ce soit de ce que j’avais prévu. Je me suis juste réveillé un matin et je me suis dit : « Vous savez quoi ? Je veux le faire ».» Drake explique qu’il ne souhaitait pas, qu’en raison de sa célébrité, son fils soit contraint d’être caché. En révélant ces clichés, il avoue s’être libéré d’un poids. Désormais, la seule chose qui compte à ses yeux est de «pouvoir aller faire des trucs avec son fils».

What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy. When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright. We are powerful manifestors , so once you make the choice in the moment to shift your awareness to something good, it will show you in your reality. Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you. Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release. Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on. 🤍

Drake : «Continuer ma musique tout en étant là pour mon fils»

Dans cet entretien, Drake explique avoir pris exemple sur plusieurs rappeurs, comme le relaye Complex. «Beaucoup d’entre nous, comme 2Chainz, sont des pères géniaux», évoque-t-il. Puis, il s’est, directement, adressé à Lil Wayne en lui expliquant qu’il lui a donné la confiance dont il a eu besoin.

«On peut voir à la façon dont vos enfants vous regardent le temps que vous leur consacrez en tant que père. Donc c’est très inspirant pour moi de savoir que je peux continuer ma musique et être là pour mon fils», avoue-t-il à son ami. Un comportement inspirant qui l’a poussé à assumer et aimer son rôle de père.
